I forgot to mention this at the Masses this weekend. This city proposal will impact parishioners of Shrine of St. Anne.

The city of Arvada is proposing to implement paid parking on all streets in the Olde Town Arvada area as well as in the lot directly west of the school. Many of the details of the plan have not been decided (like hours or cost), but the city is asking for input. More information is found at this site: Arvadaco.gov/otparking

The survey will be available through Wednesday, September 9.

The parking lot directly across from the church is owned and managed by the parish. I anticipate that when paid street parking happens, we will have more people wanting to park in our lot. We are considering how we can best keep it available for visitors to the church and school. We will be working with the city and businesses in Olde Town to help guide decisions in a way that minimizes problems for all.
